A view of the north wall is the first thing you see when you exit from Tower Hill Station.
The center tower, Flint Tower, rebuilt in 1796, is largely based on the original pattern.
Its predecessor housed some of the most notorious prison quarters.
The tower on the right is the Devereux Tower. This tower was named "Robin the Devil's Tower"
until Robert Devereux, Earl of Essex, was imprisoned here. He was the last state prisoner to be
executed (1601) within the fortress (on the Tower Green) until World War I.
