Rosh Ha-Niqra Cliff is the most northern point in Israel.
There is a two-minute cable car ride that takes you down the cliff to the grottoes,
crevices, and tunnels that have been carved by waves in the limestone cliff.
The train tunnel at the bottom of the cliff was on the railway that was built in 1943
and went from Cairo to Beirut through Tel Aviv into Lebanon.
The tunnel was blasted shut during World War II.
A platform has been built at the bottom of the cliff,
which is used for performances, folk dancing and singing in the summer.

Here is a photo from inside the Grotto (sea caves) at Rosh Ha-Niqra on Lebanese bordor.  9/03/2000
